Why We Started Our Family Business
My wife and I met the first day of our freshman year in college and married the summer before our sophomore year. It took five years of work and study to obtain our degree. In addition, during our third and fifth years of college, our first two sons were born. Four years later, our twin boys were born and three years after, our first daughter was born. Struggling financially with the growing family, we decided to go back to college to enter the medical field. When our first daughter was three, our last daughter was born.
So with our six growing children and our exhaustive shifts in the medical field for 13 years, we decided that we didn’t want to miss another competition, vacation, or athletic game. We felt self-employment was the next path to take. With our chemistry and biology backgrounds, pest control became an easy transition. We were then able to work together, play together, and even spend time traveling together. Rather than living and existing to work the rat race of life, it was “Game Over!” We were finally able to spend our time…working to live and enjoying our family life.
